A good crowd, including Graham's widow Eira, and members of the family watched on as Newport
completely outplayed Panteg in a very one sided game. Newport won the toss and elected to bat
on a glorious sunny day and openers Michael Clayden and Kam Leverock quickly made their
intentions clear with a an early onslaught, scoring an opening partnership of 176 off just 18 overs
before Leverock was out for a rapid 69 off 35 balls.

Clayden was then joined by Imran Hassan, with Clayden retiring on 109 with the score on 236 off
just 24 overs. Hassan went on to complete his half century (58) and an impressive hard hitting 51
by Marc Lezar saw the Newport total close at 370 off their allotted 40 overs.

Panteg were never going to threaten the Newport score, and with early wickets from Marc Lezar
2-23 and Darnell Taylor-Wood 3-12, Panteg slumped to 36-5. There was no way back and further
wickets fell to Tom Josham 2-18 and Alex Davies 2-5 as Panteg were all out for a meagre 80 leaving
Newport winners by a massive 290 runs.

After the game, Eira presented the Graham Reynolds Trophy to Newport's captain, Michael
Clayden.
