Newport Women Progress To National Final

Newport Women beat Finchley in their ECB Premier League Semi Final by 6 wkts at Bishop Stortford.
A fantastic bowling and fielding display saw them skittle Finchley all out for a meagre 59. Ella Read 3 wickets and Nicole Reid 3 wickets were the main wicket takers. In reply, despite a worrying start when Newport slipped to 5-2, a good stand between Rose Evans and Sophie Thomas took the Newport girls to within touching distance of the Finchley score, before finally winning by 6 wickets. Rose Evans finishing on 32no.
Newport play Midland winners Walmley today in the UK National Final.
